Sending and receiving SMS messages

The SMS message is a simple and convenient type of communication. Zadarma allows you to send SMS messages to any mobile number in the world, and to receive the messages on our virtual phone numbers. You need to activate reception of messages on the «Services - SMS» page in order to use this service.

You can send an SMS message in the following ways:

1. Receiving the SMS messages is free of charge.
Note: SMS reception can be enabled on phone numbers pre-purchased (pre-paid upfront) for a minimum of 3 months.
SMS reception can be enabled on Services - SMS page in your personal account. We do not connect temporary numbers and cannot guarantee SMS reception from numbers of other countries.
2. To activate the option to receive the SMS messages, you must upload a scanned copy of your passport or an ID card or company certificate.
3. SMS reception is available only for mobile numbers. SMS reception is not possible for other (landline, toll-free) numbers (except for Canada numbers).
4. SMS reception is available to a maximum of 10 virtual numbers per account.
You can receive the SMS messages in the following ways:
  • using the Zadarma app for iOS or Android
  • using the email ('SMS to Email' feature)
  • on the Services/SMS page in the personal account
  • using the popular instant messengers: Facebook Messenger, Slack, Telegram
