Why configure external lines?
The Zadarma virtual PBX is a standalone system. To communicate with the outside world, the PBX uses one of your SIP logins.
You can change the SIP login used by the PBX in the “External Lines” section.
You can connect virtual phone numbers from any of the 100 countries to your SIP login.
By default, the Zadarma service provides 5 simultaneous connections (5 channels). You can increase this number for free by submitting a request in your personal account.
Additional external line
If you previously had a number connected through a service other than Zadarma, you can link it to the PBX in this section. There are two ways to configure an external line: 1. Gateway Mode: Choose this option if the line connects to our server, 2. Server Mode: Choose this option if our server connects to the line.
The “Additional External Line” service provides one simultaneous incoming connection (one channel) for free. You can increase this number to 3 or 10 outgoing-incoming channels for $6 or $16 per month, respectively.
Please note: Zadarma cannot guarantee the functionality of the additional external line, as it involves third-party servers/equipment over which we have no control. Users connect to third-party servers at their own risk.
The Caller ID for calls received through the additional external line (in "Server" mode) is displayed in the PBX and affects the execution of scenarios, but it is not transmitted during call forwarding. To transmit the Caller ID during forwarding, a phone number from Zadarma must be connected.
