Do I need to live in Mexico to get a mobile number?
You need to provide a valid Mexican address to activate the number, but you do not need to be in Mexico to use it. Once connected, the number works over the internet from anywhere.
Can I receive SMS on a Mexico mobile phone number?
Yes. SMS reception is free and can be activated once the number is paid three months in advance. The passport or an ID is also required.
Can I send SMS from a Mexican mobile number?

Are incoming calls free?
