Each business runs into a situation when a client call needs to be transferred to another employee. Zadarma cares about all customers’ convenience and offers two ways to transfer calls:

  1. With a keyboard shortcut.
  2. To transfer an incoming or outgoing call within Zadarma free PBX click on # then enter user’s extension number and # again. For example, #101#.

    To transfer a call with a voice notification, enter * then extension number and #. For example, *101#.

    Incoming calls can be transferred to other scenarios (departments) of the voice menu that received the call: enter #, then voice menu scenario number and # again, e.g. #1#

  3. With certain buttons on IP-phones.

Most of such telephones have a specific button that allows you to transfer calls. Zadarma supports this option and below you can find a few examples.

It is worth mentioning that in some cases you can choose from the types of transferring: blind transfer and attended transfer. The difference is quite straightforward, in the first case user A transfers a call to user B and is immediately disconnected from that call. In the second case, user A can notify user B about the call and only after user A hangs up, the caller is connected to user B.

Now on to exactly how to transfer a call:

Call transfer on Yealink T27G

  1. Answer a call or make an outgoing one;
  2. PressTransfer;
  3. Enter the extension number that you want to transfer the call to;
  4. For Blind transfer press Transfer button again;
  5. For Attended Transfer press Send, talk to your colleague and confirm the transfer by pressing Transfer.
Call transfer on Cisco SPA303
  1. Answer or make a call;
  2. Press XFER;
  3. Enter the extension number that you want to transfer the call to;
  4. Press Dial, talk. Or move on to the next step without waiting for a reply;
  5. Press XFER.
Call transfer on Grandstream GXP2160 Zadarma Grandstream For blind transfer:
  1. Answer a call or make an outgoing call;
  2. Press Transfer;
  3. Enter the extension number that you want to transfer the call to;
  4. Press BlindTrnf.
For attended transfer:
  1. Answer a call or make an outgoing call;
  2. Choose the second line and enter the extension number you want to transfer the call to;
  3. Talk;
  4. Press Transfer;
  5. Choose the first line, it is being transferred.

  1. Answer a call or make an outgoing call;
  2. Press XFER;
  3. Enter the extension number that you want to transfer the call to;
  4. Press Dial and talk. Or move on to the next step without waiting for a reply;
  5. Press XFER.

  1. Answer a call or make an outgoing call;
  2. Press Transfer;
  3. Enter the extension number that you want to transfer the call to;
  4. Press Transfer.
